Your Helper

Your Helper is the Holy Spirit.

Now that you have accepted Christ in your life, the benefits provided for us through Jesus’s death on the cross can now be received through a walk of faith.   To begin this walk requires your desire to seek Him in prayer, fasting, reading and meditation on God’s Word within the Bible.  Jesus promised us in His Word that He would not leave us comfortless.  He says He must go to prepare a place for us.

 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15/7-13.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.  John 16/7-13

Be willing to follow wherever I lead.  Follow Me wholeheartedly, with glad anticipation quickening your pace. Though you don’t know what lies ahead, I know; and this is enough! Some of My richest blessings are just around the bend: out of sight, but nonetheless very real. To receive these gifts, you must walk by faith–not by sight.  This doesn’t mean closing your eyes to what is all around you.  It means subordinating the visible world to the invisible Shepherd of your soul.  Oct  6 – Jesus Calling Devotions by Sarah Young

Never take for granted My intimate nearness.  Marvel at the wonder of My continual Presence with you.  Even the ardent human lover cannot be with you always. Nor can another person know the intimacies of your heart, mind, and spirit. I know everything about you–even to the number of hairs on your head. You don’t need to work at revealing yourself to me.  Many people spend a lifetime or a small fortune searching for someone who understands them.  Yet I am freely available to all who call upon My Name; who open their hearts to receive Me as Saviour.  This simple act of faith is the beginning of a lifelong love story.  I, the Lover of your soul, understand you perfectly and love you eternally. We must surrender daily to the person of the Holy Spirit.  He is our guide, teacher, helper and comforter. As we lay down our soul directed life in surrender to the Spirit, the Spirit becomes the leader of our life from within and we will experience a life of fulfillment as we will no longer be focused just on ourselves but focused on pleasing our heavenly Father daily.  Training ourselves to consciously be aware that the Spirit of God lives within us and developing a relationship with our helper.  This walk has been called by many as religion, NO this is a relationship.  Acknowledging Him, listening to His voice, following His lead and waiting on Him. He is gentle and kind and will not force His way into your life. Take the time Now, to build a relationship with the Holy Spirit, He desires so much to be a part of your daily life.
